- First Japanese Award Recipient
Miss Paris Co., Ltd. Representative Director Akemi Shimomura
Receipt of the IPSN 'Honorary Award (IPSN Award of Honor)'
Representative Director of Miss Paris Co., Ltd. (Head office: Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) Akemi Shimomura was awarded 'Honorary Award (IPSN Award of Honor)' at the IPSN world conference the other day, and was in attendance at the commendation ceremony held in Hong Kong on Monday, June 20th.
The award is sponsored by IPSN and is in recognition of those who have contributed to the development of the beauty, hair and makeup industry. Guiding their many customers to health and beauty over the last 30 years, Japan's first men's only aesthetic salon 'The Men’s Aesthetic Salon Dandy House', and JAPANESE SPA 'WA SPA', etc. have contributed to the advancement of the beauty industry by creating new service areas, using education to nurture workers of high talent and improving the quality of service. It is in recognition of these contributions that led to the conferment of the award.
The IPSN (International Professional Standards Network) is an organization that aims to set the industry standards in terms of techniques, education level, etc., and to provide a mutual recognition of skills in industries across all member countries. There are currently five member countries and regions: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong, and Japan, encompassing the hair and beauty fields. With more countries joining the network, and increasing the occupational fields involved, we are actively promoting the retention of those professionals who have received international recognition of their skills so that they can be active on the world stage.
