Miss Paris, Inc. (Headquarters: Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Akemi Shimomura) celebrated the grand opening of their new Japanese-inspired concept spa, “WA SPA”, on November 17th, 2015 (Tuesday).

In the pursuit of “beauty” that comes from the “soul of Japan”, we have created a one-of-a-kind spa that could only be made in Japan. WA SPA combines manners, politeness, and hospitality. While every other country in the world has it’s own traditional type of spa, Japan never had anything like that.
To change that, we now have opened “WA SPA”, a spa “made in Japan” that offers a unique service inside and outside of Japan, with treatments that will let you experience Japan through your five senses, starting with the interior space, traditional Japanese culture, and more.
As Japan is trying its best to become a tourist destination, most of our customers from abroad are tourists, which is why we are offering professional therapists who are proficient at various languages.

For you to have the full Japanese experience, why not join us in our “tea house” next to the entrance, where you can enjoy seasonal sweets and green tea, while we welcome you with “ikebana” flower arrangements and Japanese incense. The water we use is from three of the most famous springs in Japan, to excite your five senses with the best Japan has to offer.

The items we use during our treatments are all carefully selected and of best Japanese quality. For our treatments we use domestic green bamboo that is purified in Daigoji temple in Kyoto, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to bring health and longevity, sea salt from Setouchi, which has been a place of salt production since the Edo era, camellia oil from Izu-Oshima Island, which is said to be the best in Japan and is made from a number of different camellia varieties, as well as gold leaves from Kanazawa, which accounts for 90% of the total gold leaf production. By using those wonderful materials from different places all over Japan, we also hope to help local production and make a contribution to Japan.
